I’ve been involved in Nurse Practitioner education for 20 year, having completed the RCN Institute NP programme in 1994.

I chaired the first seminar for UK NP education representatives in 2001 and have been on the Committee ever since. I was elected Chair in April 2016 for a two-year tenure. I have been part of UKCC, NMC and Department of Health (England) groups to establish standards for advanced nursing education and practice. I am currently a member of the Health Education England (HEE) National group working to develop multi-professional generic standards for Advanced Clinical Practice. I am also currently part of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship Trailblazer group.
