Advancing Practice is pivotal in the delivery of current health care and will be at the forefront of initiatives to enhance capacity and improve patient care. This multidisciplinary forum aims to provide a network of support and a spring board for communication, research and shared practice.
This initial meeting will provide terms of reference and discuss the strategies for the future to facilitate the celebration of good practice and how to work together to shape the role of the Advanced Practitioner in partnership with practitioners, educators, patients and commissioners.

Advanced Practice Education: Changes and challenges
As in previous years, the 2013 conference has attracted a high calibre of speakers, who are keen to come and update on current thinking with regards to advanced practice and advanced practice education, and to join in discussion and debate with an interested audience of advanced practice educators, practitioners, service providers and students.
The theme for this year’s conference centres on the changing face of education for advanced practice and the challenges this presents.
During the afternoon, AAPE will hold its Annual General Meeting, which is open to all AAPE members.
